Work Package 1: AEMEL tailored for Hydrogen Refuelling Station
AEM Electrolyser Rig (AXER) Design and Construction
Designing and building the AXER (anion axchange membrane electrolyser rig) involves process planning, component procurement, and risk assessment for efficient hydrogen production.
Installation and Commissioning
Installation includes site preparation and system integration to ensure proper functioning of the hydrogen production platform.
Operational Testing
Testing gathers operational data to validate performance under hydrogen refuelling station conditions.
Hydrogen Quality Monitoring
Continuous hydrogen quality checks ensure gas meets safety and performance standards for refuelling applications.
Work Package 2: Advanced Hydrogen Storage Materials
Material Development
Developing metal and MOF-doped activated carbon adsorbents from pyrolyzed and non-pyrolyzed biopolymers optimizes hydrogen storage.
3D Printable Adsorbents
Creating 3D-printable adsorbent units using Selective Laser Sintering enables scalable manufacturing of hydrogen storage materials.
Computational Material Design
Using computational chemistry reduces experiments by optimizing material properties for efficient hydrogen storage.
Hydrogen Storage Testing
Small-scale and vessel-type tests simulate real-world hydrogen charging and discharging performance for validation.
